Absolutely brilliant, well done. A very well crafted resource, requiring students to use vocabulary in context, manipulate language effectively, consider word order carefully and polish the skill of translation whilst consolidating some very necessary grammatical aspects of the Spanish language. It is very handy as it highlights key problematic pitfalls so students can anticipate this in the exam. Great resource for exam practice!

I think that this resource is well structured as it introduces some of the key vocabulary and grammatical points, it then moves to sentences level and it ends each unit with two paragraphs to be translated into English and Spanish, which is ultimately what they will have to do in the real exam. I think the "tip/resource" boxes next to the activities and translations are good at making students reflect on the grammar or idiosyncrasies of the language.

There are several tasks which I enjoyed about this resource. I liked the introduction where the basic rules of translating texts are laid out, mainly because students often ask questions throughout the year which are answered in that section. I also liked the variety of exercises, other than the translation sections which are the same, as it would be expected, vocabulary and grammar is introduced in a variety of ways and this helps avoid any monotony.

Translating texts appears to be one of the areas that students find more challenging and this resource's structure will enhance the students' confidence. After they have completed the vocabulary and grammar sections, they should be able to tackle the translations confidently as most of the vocab and grammar have just been covered. As revision tool, I think it is an excellent opportunity for students to get further practice, particularly for those who still don't feel particularly confident at the end of their first year. It could also be a valuable tool during their second year as a way of revising some of the topics covered during their first year.

The presentation is appropriate and professional looking. The regular structure of vocabulary, grammar, short translations and long translation will provide students with a good mental structure over time.

This is a very useful resource for A Level students wishing to do extra practice for the translation element of the paper. The themes match the specification and the texts are really interesting and offer cultural knowledge that can be used in other areas of the A level study as examples of Assessment 0bjective 4. I like the way that the activities scaffold the student's knowledge of topic vocabulary and build on this and grammar revision to then do a full translation of a text. The resource can be used in different ways, as an extra practice at the end of each topic or as a revision tool or for intervention when students are finding this part of the course particularly challenging due to weakness in grammar or due to a lack of breadth in their vocabulary.

Brilliant, appealing and easy to follow. Great variety of tasks.
Covers in depth all Year 2 topics, tackles all vocabulary that would possibly be needed and supports the students’ understanding and manipulation of grammar through a series of varied activities including translations and reverse translations. It is incredibly comprehensive.. It is a particularly good resource for top students.

It tackles every topic and subtopic in a gradual way. The tips are very useful as it points the students in the right direction so that they develop the right strategies for the exam. It covers all the necessary topics and provides opportunities for students to work on a number of key skills. Getting student to warm up with vocabulary tasks is an excellent idea. The gap fill tasks allow students to focus on their comprehension skills and use key words in context.

It is a good resource that covers many translation issues that students at this level have. Content meets the specifications.

There are good solid activities that are very appropriate for the level of challenge students face in this course.
