Help your ‘practical minded’ students understand the theory for Component 3!

Pack includes question-only grids and answer versions for easy marking.

A brilliant idea designed to support differentiation. Students work through the question grids to review each specification point. Working alone or in pairs, with or without their books, every student can engage with this resource.

Requires minimal preparation and interaction from the teacher

Progressive structure helps students grasp the basics before tackling applied questions.

A godsend for weaker students who find it difficult to absorb information in class. Particularly supports ‘hands-on’ learners who need to write information down to absorb it.

  • Leads to active learning, scaffolding of understanding and student confidence
  • An easy-to-set, yet valuable homework or cover lesson
  • Students work individually, you can focus where the help is needed
End result: revision notes – with full spec coverage!

What do teachers say about this resource? (10315)

I think that this is a good resource to embed the course content for component 3 into your classroom teaching or enhance independent learning activities. The activities are simple and straight forward making it an ideal resource supplement teaching and learning. The resource has a logical flow and follow the specification of component 3... It can be dipped in and out of when needed by the teacher to support learning where necessary. PIES is referred to throughout to reinforce the links needed to this throughout Component 3. The vocab matches the specification and is useful for extremely stressed students who need that little extra push in the right direction and make sense of component 3. Written in very accessible style, with space for the students to apply their findings/answers. Opportunities are provided with answers linked with PIES which is invaluable for success within the exam. Anyone can use this resource with confidence. A very valuable resource especially for those teaching HSC for the first time

I thought that this resource was well throughout and planned... It in includes everything that is required for component 3 and is worded in a way that is accessible to students. I liked that it provided a revision resource for all elements of component 3. I think that the structure of the resource is clear. ... This resource would enhance the learning of students as it is a valuable tool to assess gaps in students learning so that extra teacher input can be provided.

E Rossi, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

Resource is very useful and helps to summarise learning in one place. Enables learners to identify gaps in their own learning for further revision. Well planned resource which will be useful for revision.

E Rossi, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

A well written resource. The order in which the resource is set out reflect the order in which it is taught. The exam questions are scenario based which provides the students with good exam practice. The physiological indicators are covered in detail and use appropriate charts and information.
