Amazing resource, engaging and thoughtful tasks on each poem... Each poem has different tasks or activities to complete which are engaging and encourage independent thought... The activities are interactive and encourage independent analysis of poems. This resource is thorough and extensive, and is linked to the GCSE assessment objectives... The resource is eye catching and layout is well organised... This encourages students to look deeper than the first reading of the poem and allows for natural interpretation of key symbols and poetic features...
A comprehensive guide! I like the variation of tasks... I also liked the clear guidance on the research tasks... The activities encourage independence... Teachers can 'cherry-pick' activities based on a particular class' or individual's needs.. In this sense, both teachers and students can ensure that the activities they complete will optimise their learning in relation to the AOs... A valuable resource.
A nice range of activities mapped against the different AOs - can be used as homework or flipped learning. I like pre-during-post reading activities... A very well made resource with a great range of activities... Very - I can see myself using this with Y11 next year as a revision based homework... I really liked some of the internet links, and some of the more in depth activities encouraging students to read closely and do close language analysis. I thought images were well chosen and engaging.

This resource is exactly what students need. It allows for students to arrive at reading the poem with some contextual knowledge and allows them to build upon that. It chunks learning down so all students can access the learning/skills needed for the exam.
