What do teachers say about this resource? (3185, 3229)

I thought it was fantastic. Very useful and easy to access...It gives all pupils, especially those that are SEN and EAL the confidence to go ahead and cook without having to require 1-2-1 assistance.

K Millar-Kent, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

A good variety of recipes...well researched and useful, with good relevant illustrations; especially useful for SEN.

J Webb, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

I liked the choice of recipes and the clear way in which they had been set out...The photos were very clear and made the step by step progression very easy to follow.

F Balding, HoD & Peer Reviewer

Very good! The photographs were very useful for students of all abilities but particularly SEN.

E Read, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

It relates extremely well for the practical exam that takes place in year 10... I really liked the pictures and my pupils would find these really helpful as they tend to learn more visually.

C Andrews, HoD & Peer Reviewer

Pictures are realistic and show pupils what they can achieve rather than 'made up' food.

C Wilson, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

Neat, clear format which is easy to read with good illustrations.

M Owen, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

The skills checklist is useful and easy for students to refer to. It makes the recipes look achievable as the outcomes are not too perfect! The step by step photos make the recipes easy to follow. The section introducing equipment is good and I like the terminology page. There is a fairly good variety of recipes and the opportunity to make alternatives is useful.
