Pre-order Items

Pre-order resources will either have a single dispatch date or a date range. Where there is a date range:
  • The earlier date is the best-case scenario – the date by which we aim to dispatch the resource to you, if the resource sails through quality and similar checks.
  • The later date is given to indicate the latest date by which you should expect the resource to be dispatched.

These dispatch dates may occasionally be moved back, in which case we will notify you. Conversely, publications are often delivered earlier than the dates shown.

What do teachers have to say about this resource? (833)
'I thought it was a good idea. It engages learners and harnesses competitiveness in the service of learning. It consolidates existing knowledge in a fun, interactive way. It helps learners learn from each other.' D Richards, Literacy Programme Leader and Independent Reviewer
'Any resource that attempts to make grammar fun, when most pupils find it boring and uninspiring, is to be commended. I liked the way the resource attempts to make the teaching of grammar approachable and fun, and like the game format.' S Smale, English Teacher and Independent Reviewer
'This is a useful and unusual game. I like the idea and the sense of challenge and competition. It makes a good addition to formal grammar learning and tests grammar knowledge effectively. The format makes it a pleasant change from more formal teaching methods.' S Jones, English Teacher and Independent Reviewer
'I like the clear instructions and examples... It is good for consolidating students’ understanding of grammar, and provides some good examples to support them. It would be useful at the end of a literacy unit and could be used to guide teachers with their lesson planning.' A Powell, English Teacher and Independent Reviewer
'It would definitely enhance learning and would involve the whole group. I think it is a good self- and peer-assessment tool.' J Churchill, English Teacher and Independent Reviewer
'I thought it was a very creative idea that incorporates the basic rules of grammar into a handy board game that would be accessible for most pupils... The skills that are embedded within the game are essential to any study of English, so it had universal appeal. I am pleased someone has tried to approach grammar in a creative way.' L Reynolds, Literacy Coordinator and Independent Reviewer
'A clever idea — grammar reinforcement under the guise of a game! I thought it was a fun idea and I can imagine my pupils finding it an enjoyable, different game to play... I liked the clear, concise rules and lists of examples to guide the pupils. I feel that this reinforces basic grammatical rules and definitions and allows pupils to apply this knowledge in an interesting, stimulating way.' M Evans, Literacy Coordinator and Independent Reviewer
Matches well as criteria for both KS3 and GCSE students who need to know and understand grammar; this is good way of recapping at GCSE level for a bit of important fun.' C Barker, English Teacher and Independent Reviewer
