What do teachers have to say about this resource? (5932)
"I liked the repetition, I can see how this would aid memory building. I really like the inclusion of model answers, I think this is very valuable both for teachers and pupils... I like the clear indication in 1.1 showing which sections would be awarded which marks... excellent for homework or revision."– R Gough, Head of RS & Independent Reviewer
'I think the resource, as a summary of religious belief of the 6 major world religions is a definitive and exhaustive (to GCSE level) text of background knowledge... I particularly like the ‘Overview’ of beliefs section at the beginning of the summary which involves a lot of detailed background knowledge and history of each world religion. The resource has an excellent supply of Biblical quotations to use as evidence in both C and D style questions and this from bitter experience is something that students really struggle to apply... for students with significant knowledge gaps and long term absence this would be a fantastic resource in order to catch- up from and have a comprehensive overview of the Religion and Life paper in it’s entirety. I think it would also be a very beneficial resource for higher ability students who could use the background knowledge of the religions in the first section of the summary, “An Overview of Religions”.'– R Eaton, Teacher of Religious Education & Independent Reviewer
'I thought the resource was great and would be very useful as a revision guide/course companion or from which work could be set for students that are not making enough progress... Good overview of the main features of each religion with a very accessible explanation of the different areas... This resource is an excellent companion for th exam spec and interprets many of the ideas well that a textbook does not have room to do. It is very accurate and accessible, the real value is that students can refer to this without the need for staff support.'– J Sannegadu, Head of Philosophy and Ethics & Independent Reviewer
