What do teachers say about this resource? (5904)

An excellent source for starters and plenaries. I particularly like how the resource is divided into sections. This makes this resource a quick access guide, which is very useful and should cut planning time down substantially - especially if there are no established schemes of work in place. I also like how easy the resource is to read - the language isn't too taxing and knowing the aim of each exercise helps to focus the rest of the lesson. The addition of the pupil worksheets is also an excellent idea! They are clear and easy to follow and very bold, which could help keep pupils more focused. It allows for the use of AfL throughout lessons and gives the pupils opportunity to explore drama in different ways - showing them the skills required to do well in a creative subject as well as enhancing (hopefully) their enjoyment of the subject! I believe this to be a very useable resource that is worth keeping in the classroom! A great resource - keep up the excellent work!

A superb resource that provides original and creative ideas that pupils will enjoy, and is successful in developing and enhancing learning. The activities can easily be linked to various Dramatic genres and they all cover key Drama skills that are crucial to developing KS3 pupils' techniques. The instructions provided are easy to follow and can be adapted if necessary by the teacher to fit in with schemes of work. The Shakespeare activities are particularly strong as they are creative and engaging. KS3 pupils often struggle to access Shakespeare and struggle to find pleasure in studying his works, and I believe that the resource overcomes this barrier successfully. I would definitely recommend this resource to KS3 Drama teachers

Very useful as a quick, ‘to-hand’ booklet that I could pick up and use with students in the drama studio, even with Key Stage 4 in places. I like the way that it covers vocal, physical warm ups so simply. It is so easy to comprehend and when time is short, it has lots of the tried and trusted warm-ups. It would help me in providing an introduction to specific teaching material I might need for a particular theme or topic e.g. scriptwriting, radio plays, etc. It’s really handy and easy to use. All skills are covered and help to get a class ready for the main thrust of the objectives. Ideal for those with little experience. A great resource

An excellent resource ... it was a delight to read. I liked everything about the resource: it's layout and clear language with clear instructions that could easily be read. Good range of activities from physical skills to improvisation skills. Although it contains a lot of information the short paragraphs make it digestible.

Good in depth resource both suitable and adpatable for the student/teacher... I like the fact that it is in-depth and multi-purpose. It also uses the minimal amount of furniture & props which makes it very adaptable.
