What do teachers say about this resource? (5292)

I've bought extra copies of House of Silk too as I was so impressed with the level of study this resource will offer - by way of the resource - KS3 pupils. It will certainly save teachers a great deal of time, particularly if they are teaching the novel for the first time, or if they haven't taught/read it for a while. Additionally, the pupil work-sheets are age appropriate and aesthetically appealing. In addition, all is mapped out clearly in terms of how the KS3 curriculum is matched.

Would I purchase this resource? Most definitely... one of the best I've seen and gives excellent value for money. Highly motivating and well written.

I particularly liked the way the activities were linked to the Chapters of the book. The questioning was good which would lead pupils to valuable learning experiences and new horizons about the author, subject matter and literary analysis. The resource motivated me as a teacher and would inspire all kS3 pupils regardless of gender, background and learning style.

This resource would encourage students to become more independent as the worksheets are supportive and clearly explained. There aren't many resources currently for this text and this would be useful to departments using this text. The resource information and instructions are clear which make it easily accessible to teachers and students. The resource could be used during cover lessons and as homework if required. It covers the AFs for this key stage group and has a good focus on literacy.
