  • AO2 literary activities and extract analysis
  • AO3 Comparisons with Pride and Prejudice and other literary texts

Also included: context, project work and Edexcel exam practice!

Activities include: group, pair and independent work, character comparisons, comprehension questions, role play, mind-mapping, creative and directed writing, discussions, quotation interpretation and analysis, close extract analysis, essay questions and much more!

What do teachers have to say about this resource? (5211)
"I liked the comparisons with other texts and the combination of project based work and exam practice. I liked the way that challenging concepts were introduced to students, such as the idea of this text being a 'feminist allegory." A Davenport, English Teacher and Ind. Reviewer
"This resource makes high demands on A Level students and would be helpful to support teachers in challenging the top end particularly." B Kemp, English Teacher and Ind. Reviewer
"This clearly pushes students from AS standard to A2, outlining the AOs and offering inspirational study opportunities. Checkpoints for comparison against Pride and Prejudice are included at appropriate points. The range of activities is wide, from basic introduction tasks to close study of extracts from the text. The imaginative element of the pack is a great way to hook in the more creative and kinaesthetic learners. Spot on. I'd recommend this to any Sixth Form studying the text." E Evans, English Teacher and Ind. Reviewer
