What do teachers say about this resource? (4940)

On the whole this resource is very detailed and informative the author has clearly taken a great deal of time in getting this information down on paper. I believe it goes through some of the key events in British History in good detail. The answers given help the teacher who perhaps isnt as familiar with this area of History as others and act as a good starting base for teaching this topic.... The answers provided by the writer are very detailed and give the teacher some confidence before the lessons are even taught with this subject. This resource greatly enhances learning within KS3 as this gives an oft maligned topic more impetus and life. A lot of these tasks can be catered for individuals and groups meaning that the teacher has a large degree of flexibility within the classroom.... The introduction of source work for the Bloody Sunday task is excellent because the earlier pupils are exposed to source work the better it is for GCSE and beyond. There are a variety of different tasks which can all increase the skills expected of Historians of this age and beyond.... In terms of following the key concepts expected of the History KS3 curriculum, the resource has been tailored to meet these key concepts in the variety of tasks included. Chronology is dealt with very well. The very helpful table included to show the various concepts covered by this resource is very helpful when planning the lesson.... There would be no hesitation on my part to purchase this resource.... I continue to be impressed with the quality of the resources offered.

It enhances learning by helping students to understand key concepts in the curriculum, especially chronology. It also gives background information to big events in an easily digestible format and allows pupils to digest some elements of source evaluation.
