Pre-order Items

Pre-order resources will either have a single dispatch date or a date range. Where there is a date range:
  • The earlier date is the best-case scenario – the date by which we aim to dispatch the resource to you, if the resource sails through quality and similar checks.
  • The later date is given to indicate the latest date by which you should expect the resource to be dispatched.

These dispatch dates may occasionally be moved back, in which case we will notify you. Conversely, publications are often delivered earlier than the dates shown.

Twelfth Night Study Guide

This guide includes a range of GCSE targeted commentaries which analyse and discuss each scene and the text as a whole. The consistent and accessible structure is designed to complement students’ own understanding of the text as they work through it and encourages further inference in a digestible manner. It could also be dipped into during lessons when needed for that additional interpretation or task!

  • Encourage and reinforce evaluation of each scene using these scene-by-scene commentaries, tasks and quotation analyses.
  • Enhance the student’s visualisation of the play with the guide’s unique illustrations
  • Engage your students with whole text notes and tasks, varied writing exercises, speaking and listening exercises, and play design tasks.

Prepare for your particular exam or controlled assessment with practice questions included for AQA, WJEC and Edexcel.

Students who have used this resource alongside the text will end up with a good, solid knowledge and understanding of the play. Coverage of theme and language is particularly good.

What do teachers have to say about this resource? (4821)
"On the whole I liked this resource. The context is thorough and unbiased which when discussing Shakespeare is rare. I like the character analysis that uses embedded quotations as this could be used to show how to write a good response. The way symbolism has been explored is particularly useful." C Marshall, English Teacher and Ind. Reviewer
"I was impressed with the level of detail in this resource and the contextual information, particularly the scene-by-scene breakdown, is very well researched and considered. The focus on language use in the play encourages pupils to examine the text in detail and to search for layers of meaning and interpretation." C Jepson, Head of English and Ind. Reviewer
