What do teachers have to say about this resource? (4399)
"Excellent! Accessible, interesting tasks tailored to H/F candidates, explicit AF and exam criteria clear to teachers. I particularly like this resource because Mister Pip is difficult for GCSE pupils- the themes and questions raised are quite high order. Your activity pack engages pupils with these trickier areas in an interesting and stimulating way. Highly recommend relevant, easy to implement tasks which cover every area needed for the exam. Thoughtful engaging activities- buy it!" C Rawes, Head of English and Satisfied Customer
"It provides me with lesson ideas I can just pick up and run with." C Wellborne, English teacher and satisfied customer
This is an incredibly thorough and detailed resource pack that provides you with more than enough to confidently study this text at GCSE level for either exam or Controlled Assessment purposes.
The guides to close reading are great: detailed questions will lead to detailed responses. Short commentaries for these and other tasks would be welcome. Speaking & listening activities are interesting and useful. Hotseating activity on p48 is a great way of covering a lot of textual material enjoyably and encourages independent thought. The indicative content under the exam questions is VERY welcome since this is a new book for a new exam and we have nothing like this so far.
I really like this resource. It brings together useful interpretations, detailed chapter by chapter summaries with a range of helpful teaching and revision suggestions. I would consider that many teachers would find this useful especially as it is a novel with great teaching potential and few resources are currently available.V Denman, Head of Department and Independent Reviewer
