What do teachers have to say about this resource? (3565)
'Excellent cultural explanations/historical for context establishing. Differences between the novel and film is a very helpful addition to this resource. Well differentiated and worksheets identified for different abilities accordingly. It is motivational for pupils to be given such well considered worksheets or indeed a whole booklet to work through in lessons. An incredibly well considered and useful resource that allows every ability access to the text. I really think this is very versatile! An excellent resource. 'C McDonough, English Teacher, Independent Reviewer
'I liked the range of activities and the stretch and challenge it provided for Higher students. It requires students to focus on language and tone, and how these convey aspects of culture. It is closely matched to the demands of the syllabus. 'T Kenney, English HoD, Independent Reviewer
'A useful resource with a good range of activities. Tasks are designed to help the students really get to know the text and practise a wide range of skills. I particularly liked how approachable the tasks make the text and how they encourage thorough knowledge of the text. There is an excellent range of tasks from discussion ideas, to writing articles, empathy exercises and quizzes. The resource enhances learning by showing pupils a range of ways to approach studying a text. It really emphasises the importance of knowing the text well. There is also an opportunity to practise a range of writing skills which is useful beyond the study of this particular text.' T Tough, English Teacher and Independent Reviewer
