Pre-order Items

Pre-order resources will either have a single dispatch date or a date range. Where there is a date range:
  • The earlier date is the best-case scenario – the date by which we aim to dispatch the resource to you, if the resource sails through quality and similar checks.
  • The later date is given to indicate the latest date by which you should expect the resource to be dispatched.

These dispatch dates may occasionally be moved back, in which case we will notify you. Conversely, publications are often delivered earlier than the dates shown.

For more information, and to see the full list of pre-order items for your subject, see the Future Publication Dates

Medicine Through Time

AQA Entry Level

Written by an experienced examiner & HOD with 14 years' experience of teaching both GCSE and Entry Level
"The evidence used in each pack includes some new interpretations by modern historians." Mark Williams, author

Four work booklets comprehensively covering all 4 AQA Medicine units – Complete AQA Entry Level course! Plus free 5th Extension booklet for GCSE – the five booklets are fully cross-referenced to the AQA A GCSE spec.

Factually detailed, visually attractive, multi-skilled. Specifically designed to include inter/intrapersonal, linguistic, creative & thinking skills. You can expect to find unusual ‘sources’ (e.g. photos of the Greek gods & written sources discussing health problems & solutions in the 19th century).

  • The fact that everything is completed within the work booklets particularly suits weaker or less organised students and the booklet are specifically targeted toward students with poor reading skills and poor levels of concentration
  • Matches 2008 specification
  • Questions test comprehension as well as wider historical skills like; chronology, cause & consequence, recognition of bias & the importance of interpretation
  • Variety of tasks includes; comprehension, gap fill, wordsearches, designing posters & plaques
  • Each of the booklets become progressively more detailed & more challenging
  • Is a good solution if teaching GCSE and Entry Level in the same class or if undecided about the entry level of a student or students

Fully cross referenced & great to deliver Entry Level for:
    AQA Units 1-4
    WJEC (Unit 2, Health & Medicine,(b) (c))
    OCR Medicine & Public Health
    Edexcel Core Tasks specification 8916
