Stone Cold Activity Book

This attractive booklet of worksheets offers fun and exciting tasks for every chapter of the novel Stone Cold. This is an invaluable tool for anyone teaching the novel. Each chapterís activities are presented with appealing fonts and pictures relevant to the novelís themes, whilst a brief commentary on some of the more difficult tasks is included for teachers who are not so familiar with the novel.

The booklet features a huge array of tasks, which vary from comprehension questions to media activities, and creative writing projects to challenging quizzes. The worksheets maintain a level of differentiation by presenting a more challenging aspect of work at the end of each chapterís activities, thus offering the classroom teacher that all-important extension activity for the more able of pupils.

Whether you are a supply teacher tackling the novel for a first time, or if you are looking for some extra activities to incorporate into lesson planning, or whether you simply require a booklet for lesson-absent studying, this booklet will provide you with hours of engaging tasks.
What do teachers have to say about this resource? (1655)
"Helped to create a complete scheme of work on this novel in a matter of days." L Thomas, English Teacher and Satisfied Customer
'I like everything about this unit. It provides a wide range of different tasks which I think pupils would enjoy using on a daily basis after reading the novel. I was also particularly pleased to see the constant references to using supporting quotations. I like the layout. It is colourful and well spaced out and so would catch the pupils' attention... The fact that it is broken down into such small sections would encourage pupils to work.' P Moore, HoD and Independent Reviewer
'Brilliant — would be useful to supplement a teacherís scheme of work. There is such a wide range of activities; reading and writing skills can be developed using these worksheets often with little teacher input. The activities cover many of the skills taught at KS3. Thanks once again for the opportunity to look at yet another great resource.' J Sharrock, English Teacher and Independent Reviewer
'This a thorough and conscientiously prepared resource that keeps in mind the needs of both pupils and teachers. The breadth of different skills that are encouraged... is excellent. Brilliant for the tired teacher! The author clearly has a strong awareness of what works in practice for pupils and teachers. I was particularly impressed by the conscientiousness of the author in putting two sets of activities/questions on each page — both environmentally friendly and department budget friendly! It's been a pleasure to review this resource.' L Kontos, English Teacher and Independent Reviewer
'A good resource: good value, a range of useful activities and differentiated tasks.' R James, Head of English and ZigZag Customer
